PROJECT TYPE
Branding, UX-UI, Packaging, Product Design
Context
Imagine being able to create endless beer combinations at home, crafting your perfect brew based on your preferences. That’s what our client, Mahou San Miguel, the leading brand on the Spanish market, envisioned with their revolutionary beer-making machine. However, translating this complex technology into a user-friendly experience required a bridge – an intuitive online platform.
Logo
The YouBrew logo is a harmonious blend of tradition and personalization, encapsulating the brand's core values. The central element, a stylized beer crown cap, symbolizes the rich heritage of beer crafting, emphasizing quality and authenticity. Vibrant colors and dynamic elements highlight the customizable nature of YouBrew's offerings, making it appealing and engaging.
Concept
The identity is built on a versatile graphic design system tailor-made for YouBrew, aimed at effectively communicating the brand's offerings across a variety of marketing channels. The design concept draws inspiration from late 19th and early 20th-century modern advertising and printing, a period when lettering typefaces became popular. Given that handwritten styles are the most popular for personalized materials, we chose this approach to ensure familiarity and appeal to our future customers.
Branding
Our core color palette features Calm Green and Vibrant Yellow, chosen to set our beer brand apart from others. The bright yellow highlights key information, while the green serves as a call-to-action element and background. Reflecting our brand's versatile and fun nature, we also incorporate secondary colors for diverse campaigns and offerings.
Additionally, we've adopted a distinctive typographic approach by utilizing two unique typefaces: Look Script and Inter. These fonts offer rich, contrasting styles that work harmoniously together in any context.
Methodology
To validate the new machine, we launched an online MVP. This helped us identify our ideal users, understand their expectations, assess market potential, and determine key features.
Over 4 weeks, we immersed ourselves in beer and user experience. We started with in-depth interviews and workshops to understand user needs. We then created personas to guide our design, developed and tested prototypes with real users, and refined the MVP based on their feedback to ensure a smooth and intuitive experience.
Breewing platform
The website is designed to be user-friendly and engaging. We simplified brewing terms and used sliders to adjust beer characteristics like color, bitterness, and alcohol content. Beginners can use pre-made recipes, while experienced users can customize their brews. An interactive quiz helps users find their preferred flavors. Real-time visual changes add excitement, and clear information on final measurements and taste profiles ensures users can make confident decisions.
Packaging
We also crafted an array of stylish packaging options for users, each with a distinct vibe to cater to different tastes. There are three exciting ways to choose your preferred packaging: select from one of the beautifully designed options, use a customizable template to personalize the text, or unleash your creativity with complete freedom to design something truly unique.
